Semi-Senior Practice Accountant
Milton Keynes, MK9 – Office-based only
Full time, permanent (9am – 5:30pm)
£32,000 - £36,000 per annum

The Role
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a confident
Semi-Senior Practice Accountant
to help us deliver exceptional service to our clients and guide junior team members. You'll enjoy a diverse workload, a dynamic office environment, and the chance to be part of something truly impactful.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounts for small businesses, statutory accounts, VAT returns, and CIS returns
Manage Self-Assessment tax returns and assist with MTD ITSA rollout
Complete corporation tax returns, R&D claims, and capital allowance reports
Review client bookkeeping, reconcile bank accounts, and ensure accurate coding
Support clients with cloud accounting adoption and system transitions
Prepare and deliver management accounts with insights and commentary
Offer guidance on tax strategies and long-term business planning
Contribute to process improvements and workflow enhancements
Supervise and review junior team members' work, offering mentoring and support
Play an active role in digital transformation and strategic practice projects

The Ideal Candidate:
We're seeking someone who is motivated, client-focused, and ready to grow with a thriving firm. About you:
AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
Minimum 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice
Solid understanding of VAT, CIS, Income Tax, Corporation Tax, and bookkeeping
Previous experience mentoring or reviewing junior staff
Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel for meetings and training
Enthusiastic, empathetic, and committed to delivering top-tier client service
