Brook Street Social Care are proudly supporting a children's residential service based within Liverpool.
This service is a respected and nurturing provider of residential care for children and young people across the North West with a mission to create safe, supportive, and therapeutic environments where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. They specialise in working with children who have experienced trauma, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or complex needs.
As part of their expanding team in Liverpool, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Responsible Individual within a part time role who is committed to making a real difference in young lives.
As a Responsible Individual you will work closely with the Home Managers and Operations Director to ensure the homes are providing exceptional care to children and young people.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all legal responsibilities associated with the opening, registration and operation of the Home are effectively discharged.
2. Assist with the recruitment needs of the business
3. To assist and register for new homes
4. Overseeing management of the service and ensuring the service is safe, well run and complies with regulations.
5. Supervise, support, and hold to account the Registered Manager of the home.
6. Ensure the external monitoring of practice within the home through your own supervision of the RM's, scrutiny of the Regulation 44 and 45 reports and any other reports relating to the home, including Ofsted inspections and compliance visits with local authorities.
7. Ensure the home is fully prepared and ready for regular Ofsted inspections.

Essential:
16. Proven experience in a similar role, ideally as a Registered Manager or Responsible Individual within a children's home setting.
17. To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
18. Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and make sound decisions.
19. Comprehensive knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding and extensive knowledge and understanding of Ofsted regulations and compliance requirements.
20. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (ideally)
21. Level 3 or 4 diploma in Residential Care.
22. Driving License.
23. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and guide a team effectively.
24. Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for documentation and reporting.
