As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the Planning function with key interface to the other business units/planners.
2. Leading, mentoring, and coaching the team on schedule prioritisation and scope availability.
3. Developing, controlling, monitoring, analysing, and reporting on schedule-related aspects for the designated project.
4. Establishing and monitoring resource-loaded, logic-linked baseline plans for the project in accordance with project and corporate processes.
5. Capturing project budgetary costs and resources in the plan to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget.
6. Maintaining and controlling project baselines in line with client’s procedures and guidance.
7. Ensuring the reasons for, and the factors influencing each change to the project’s baseline plan and the implications of such change are understood and communicated with the wider project team.
8. Assisting the lead planner with EVM (Earned Value Management) evaluation and practice within the project schedules.
9. Challenging schedule and cost variances against the baseline plan and wider portfolio.
10. Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned portfolio through the Project Plan(s).
11. Discussing and reviewing plans with management and other stakeholders to identify construction priorities and communicate the strategy.
Who we're looking for:
* Experience across the project lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes).
* Civil/Mechanical focus.
* Excellent Primavera (P6) knowledge and experience.
* Experience in building cost and resource-loaded plans.
* High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills.
* Experience/understanding in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools in the Project Controls market.
* Experience/understanding of Earned Value Analysis.
* Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
* Ability to interact confidently with a project team.
