About the Role
A typical day will involve completing eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations. You will work alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards.
We are committed to delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions; we will support you to gain any additional accreditations you may need to deliver these services.
As part of the team, you will have access to comprehensive training, CPD programmes, protected time for further accreditations, and opportunities to supervise students if GOC registered.
You will have full support from in-store, regional, and home office teams for clinical and service based queries.
Qualifications & Experience
* A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
* A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
* MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us)
* On track to meet statutory points requirement for CPD
* Passionate about providing a memorable customer experience
* Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping department culture
Compliance Requirements
Right to work in the UK. Evidence of NHS performer list and two clinical references required. For Wales, evidence of WEC accreditation and WGOS module accreditation is required.

Additional Features
The rota will span two-week cycles: Week 1 includes Saturday and Monday–Thursday; Week 2 includes Monday–Friday. Full shift times are 09:00 to 17:30.
