Role Purpose:
The Global Learning Design Lead – Leadership Development & Line Management shapes the future of leadership and manager capability at Hays. This role will design high‑impact learning experiences, and build the frameworks that develops and strengthens confident, capable leaders at every level, ensuring all leaders and line managers are role models of Hays Valued Behaviours. This role will create and deploy impactful leadership development and line management learning experiences/programs that drive engagement and business performance for Hays worldwide, ensuring that existing regional learning content is leveraged where relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and delivery of global leadership development, collaborating closely with Regional Heads of Learning and the Global Experience Team to identify priority leadership capability needs, critical strengths, and future ready skills.
* Set global priorities and own the development of the global leadership development roadmap, ensuring leadership capability is strengthened at every level across Hays worldwide.
* Partner with Regional Heads of Learning to understand existing leadership content, identifying opportunities to elevate, standardise, and scale it for broader global application.
* Design and develop high impact, scalable leadership programmes and interventions for all regions and global functions. Ensure alignment with cultural context by working with regional learning teams, the global learning team, and external partners where needed. Facilitate ‘train-the-trainer’ workshops where appropriate to support local delivery.
* Act as the creative lead for all content design, leveraging innovative technologies and methodologies to produce engaging and interactive learning experiences, such as digital learning, blended solutions, virtual workshops, VR/AR, AI enhanced learning, peer coaching, and behavioural science-based interventions.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by introducing new methodologies, technologies, and learning science, such as AI-enabled coaching, simulations, VR/AR, and skills intelligence tools.
* Implement robust quality assurance processes, using evaluation data, behavioural insights, and regular feedback loops to monitor, refine, and enhance programme effectiveness.
* Demonstrate measurable impact on leadership performance, employee engagement, and capability growth through data driven evaluation and insights.
* Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to conduct needs analyses and ensure leadership development solutions align with evolving strategic business priorities.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, learning science, and emerging innovations, ensuring Hays remains at the forefront of leadership development practices.
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated depth of experience designing and delivering leadership development and line management development solutions at scale, ideally across global/regional and or culturally diverse environments.
* Strong knowledge in leadership learning design, including end to end learning experience design (LXD) informed by adult learning principles and behavioural science.
* Proven ability to translate leadership models and theory into practical, high‑impact learning, enabling leaders and managers to apply skills effectively in role.
* Highly effective communicator and collaborator, able to influence stakeholders, co‑create with subject‑matter experts, and work effectively across functions and geographies.
* Deep expertise in leadership development workshop design and facilitation expertise, including virtual, hybrid and in person formats, with evidence of engaging senior leaders.
* Clear evidence of role‑modelling Hays leadership behaviours, demonstrated through approach to design, collaboration, inclusion, and delivery of outcomes.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of digital learning tools, platforms, and trends, and experience integrating digital approaches into blended leadership development journeys.
