The Role

We are looking to recruit a Clinical Secretary to join the Maternity & Neonatal ward at University Hospital Wishaw.

The Clinical Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently.

The Clinical Secretary will also work in accordance with standard operating procedures.


Secretarial Experience

Would be beneficial.

Band 3 / Permanent / Part Time / 25 hours

What We'll Need You To Bring

* SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus experience in healthcare administration or secretarial roles
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Effective team working and adaptability to change
* Strong communication skills with patients, clinicians, and colleagues
* Excellent organisational skills
* Proficiency with relevant IT systems
* Audio typing skills


It Would Be Good If You Also Had

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word for Windows)
* Interpersonal skills and good communication
* Ability to work under pressure
* Experience with Trakcare, Winscribe Digital, Dictation systems, Badger Electronic, Maternity Record
* Flexibility
