Launch Manager (North East) Join us in our mission to be the definitive food company. At Deliveroo, we are transforming the way the world eats by making food more convenient and accessible. Our UK & Ireland (UK&I) market is our most mature globally, acting as the engine room for strategic and operational innovation. Within the Regional team, we are the local experts, managing the delicate balance between restaurants, consumers, and riders to ensure every neighbourhood has access to the best selection possible. We’re looking for a Launch Manager to join our North East team. While you will be based in our Leeds office, you must be living in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, or Sunderland, as you will spend the majority of your time (3–4 days per week) on the ground in your cities, driving growth and leading a high-performing sales team. What You’ll Be Doing As the business owner of Growth KPIs and Consumer Value Proposition (CVP) metrics for your cities, you will act as a strategic leader and a "boots on the ground" operator. Strategic Ownership: Own the performance of your cities across all segments. You'll identify cuisine gaps and competitive weaknesses, building precise plans to ensure Deliveroo remains the top choice for local customers. Sales Leadership: Directly manage and coach a sales team of 9. You’ll provide the structure and direction needed to ensure every team member hits their monthly targets and develops their commercial skills. Operational Excellence: Set the agenda for Account Managers in your area, focusing on critical metrics like signage, menu completeness, and order rejection rates to improve the overall merchant and customer experience. Tactical Initiatives: Lead high-impact projects (such as the "Drax" project) involving sprints on city metrics and in-person marketing activations. Guerrilla Marketing: Identify local marketing opportunities and execute creative activities to build brand presence and drive consumer demand in the North East. What You’ll Need to Thrive We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and has a strong bias for action: Proven Leadership: Experience managing direct reports, or significant experience in coaching, mentoring, and project leadership. Commercial Track Record: A history of delivering outstanding commercial results in account management, sales, or strategy roles. Data Fluency: Comfortable using data to diagnose performance issues and identifying clear paths for improvement. North East Expertise: Deep knowledge of the local landscape in Newcastle, Sunderland, or Middlesbrough. Organisation & Grit: Well-organised and hardworking, with the flexibility to balance 3–4 days in the field with office/home working. Why Join Us? At Deliveroo, you’ll solve complex, real-time challenges in a three-sided marketplace. Working here you can expect to: Take Direct Ownership: Have the autonomy to run your cities like your own business. Lead at Pace: Work in a high-growth environment where your decisions have immediate impact. Scale Your Career: Join a leadership role within our most mature global market.
