About the Role: We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the site Maintenance function, ensuring both reactive and proactive multi skilled support across all operational equipment and facilities. You will oversee the timely completion of all maintenance activities, drive operational effectiveness, reduce downtime, and improve project delivery. The role also involves setting technical best practice, developing policies and procedures, and leading a high performing team focused on continuous improvement. Role Responsibilities: Deliver best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies and processes to support operational performance. Review new business initiatives and projects and assess their impact on Maintenance activities. Oversee all operational plant and equipment maintenance and ensure the annual maintenance plan meets business needs. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and maintain a safe working environment. Manage the maintenance budget, reviewing performance and taking corrective action where required. Assist in annual engineering shutdown planning, ensuring relevant risks and dependencies are built into the plan. Develop, implement and manage KPIs for all areas of responsibility. Create and maintain safe working procedures and systems of work. Lead and develop a high performing, customer focused maintenance team with a continuous improvement mindset. Manage and coach the team to deliver best practice, strong performance, and ongoing development. Ensure all team members receive appropriate training to meet evolving business needs. Collaborate with engineering and wider teams to support major works and projects. Ensure all maintenance projects are delivered in line with company processes and standards. Stay up to date with legislation, compliance, and H&S requirements, carrying out audits and ensuring accurate record keeping. What you'll need: Knowledge / Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. More than 3 years’ experience managing or leading a maintenance team. Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. Awareness of BS5500 and ASME VIII. Skills Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages and CMMS experience. Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills. Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong project management capability. Proven leadership and people management skills. Ability to provide out-of-hours support when needed. Analytical mindset with sound decision making. Familiarity with service level agreements. Ability to manage own workload and perform under pressure. Qualifications Degree in an engineering discipline. What were looking for?
