This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive finance professional looking to take ownership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Role Overview:The Management Accountant will play a key role in producing timely and accurate financial information, supporting the wider team with insight and analysis, and helping to drive process improvements.
The position offers a wide breadth of responsibility and the chance to be involved in both strategic and operational aspects of finance.Key Responsibilities:• Prepare monthly management accounts with accompanying commentary• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers• Coordinate and process weekly and monthly payroll, including HMRC submissions• Assist with year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors• Submit monthly VAT returns and oversee compliance• Post journals, manage accruals and prepayments, and oversee transactional processing• Lead WIP reviews and perform reconciliations• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysisCandidate Requirements:• Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role• Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or qualified by experience• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software• Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes• Confident communicator with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with evolving prioritiesBenefits:• Competitive salary £40,000 - £45,000• Annual performance bonus• Private medical insurance• Company pension• Life insurance• On-site parking• Opportunity to grow with a forward-thinking and supportive businessThis vacancy is being handled by Thomas Hoather – Kenton Black Finance.Kenton Black Finance operate across the UK as a market leading recruitment partner, specialising in the attraction of finance talent across both permanent and interim requirements.
