Year 1 Class Teacher – Maternity Cover

Pay: Paid to scale (£170 – £233 per day)
About the Role
A smaller than average 2 form infant school in the wider Eastleigh area is seeking a KS1 teacher to cover maternity leave starting January 2026. This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities, initially for two terms but could be extended into the following academic year.
You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Tear 1 class, working closely with other teaching colleagues to ensure support and consistency. The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life. The school are mindful of staff well-being and workload.

What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Primary Teacher preferably with experience in KS1
* Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
* Good behaviour management techniques.
* Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND.
Requirements
* UK-recognised teaching qualification.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
* Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
