About the Role
We're looking for an Engineering Supervisor to lead our small but highly skilled engineering team, delivering smoke and comfort ventilation projects across Scotland. You'll oversee installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair works, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor (or a senior engineer ready for the next step) who can combine technical knowledge with strong leadership and client-handling skills.
We're Looking For Someone With:
* Proven experience leading or supervising engineering teams.
* Background in life-safety, smoke ventilation, or building services.
* Knowledge of compliance requirements (BS 7346-8, EN12101).
* Strong problem-solving ability and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills – able to lead, influence, and build positive relationships with team members, clients, and contractors..
* A clean, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland (minimal overnight stays).
* SMSTS qualification (or willingness to achieve).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team of engineers across installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair works.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, safely, and to compliance standards.
* Conduct site audits, toolbox talks, and prepare RAMS.
* Act as the company's on-site representative, building strong client relationships.
* Provide technical support and guidance to engineers.
* Contribute to reporting, cost monitoring, and supporting the Project Manager with estimates.
* Help foster a positive, supportive culture where every engineer can thrive.
Career Progression & Training
We don't just hire supervisors—we develop leaders. You'll receive structured support to expand your supervisory and technical skills, with a clear pathway for progression toward senior leadership roles, if that's your goal.
