Permanent, part-time (0.6) position. The post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards, so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence before August 2026.
Responsibilities
The School of Creative Industries at Kingston College is seeking a dynamic, proactive, highly organised and effective course leader to drive the Level 3 component in Digital Art, Animation and Games Design.
You will have a skilled understanding of, and the ability to teach and create tutorials for, a range of software and hardware, including but not limited to:
* Autodesk Maya
* Blender
* 3D Studio Max
* Game Engines
* Adobe suite: After Effects, Animate, InDesign, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator
* 3D printers, green screens, HD video/still cameras
* Motion-capture VR (preferable)
You will produce schemes of work, monitor their delivery, supervise assessment, provide internal verification, liaise with external verifiers or moderators, and coordinate the review and evaluation of courses.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications to degree level or higher.
Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one, and participation in recent continuous professional development.
Thorough understanding of evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment, with a strong record of delivering high-quality programmes and demonstrably good outcomes.
Experience of monitoring and supporting “at-risk” learners to achieve or exceed their potential.
Hard-working, flexible, with high personal standards and expectations; strong planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills and attention to detail.
