A globally operating manufacturer of precision engineered components is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer ready to take the next step in their career. Based at their Warwick facility, this is a newly created role that offers genuine leadership responsibility taking charge of a small development team while staying close to the technical work you enjoy.
If you've been delivering strong technical results and you're ready to formalise your leadership experience, this could be exactly the right move. You'll be developing advanced sensor and instrumentation products for heavy vehicle and off-road environments, working across construction, agriculture, mining, and commercial vehicles products that reach global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a small team of development engineers, supporting their growth while maintaining your own technical involvement
Take ownership of electronics design projects from initial concept and architecture through to validation and production launch
Design precision sensor and instrumentation products for harsh heavy-vehicle and off-road environments
Contribute to technical direction and become a go-to authority on measurement and electronics within the business
Drive innovation in signal processing, analog design, and system robustness
Work within automotive-grade development processes including APQP and DFMEA/PFMEA
Collaborate with global OEMs and partners on integration, field validation, and performance optimisation
Design for extreme environments: wide temperature ranges, high vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and chemical exposure
What You'll Bring
Solid hands-on electrical or electronics engineering experience
Background in heavy vehicle, off-road, automotive, or industrial equipment sectors construction, agriculture, mining, or commercial vehicles particularly relevant
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Solid experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design
Experience with sensor technology and instrumentation
Some exposure to electronics design from concept through to production you don't need to have done it all, but you'll have been involved
Some experience leading or mentoring others you're ready to formalise this in a team lead capacity
Familiarity with automotive quality processes: APQP and DFMEA/PFMEA
Hands-on PCB design and troubleshooting skills
Experience designing for harsh environments: temperature extremes, vibration, EMI/EMC, and industrial exposure
Embedded firmware (C/C++) and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) desirable
IATF 16949 and ISO 26262 knowledge desirable
