Job Description:
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same. Your role involves providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance. You will also be encouraged to find ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike.
You will be Responsible For:
1. Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
2. Encouraging customer feedback via surveys.
3. Working across store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
4. Practicing safety training and procedures.
5. Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
6. Understanding store performance and contributing to profit goals.
7. Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
8. Clocking in and out accurately.
9. Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
10. Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
11. Responding to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.
12. Maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
13. Potentially managing shifts in absence of supervisors.
14. Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing daily operations and passing background checks; failure to do so may result in withdrawal of the job offer.
