Milk Education is recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic autism-specific school in Shirley, providing 1:1 support for pupils, on a long-term or short-term basis, starting immediately.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with autism and additional learning needs, helping them thrive in a positive, inclusive, and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with autism, tailoring assistance to individual needs.
* Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and daily routines.
* Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement personalised learning plans and strategies.
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement, ensuring a calm, safe, and nurturing learning space.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and a sense of achievement in pupils.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
1. Experience working 1:1 with children or young people with autism or additional learning needs.
