Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Location: Withington
Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs in a Primary School setting? We have a long-term position available in a school in Bury.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to SEN children in both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
* Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials.
* Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
* Assist in the development of social and communication skills for SEN students.
* Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) children, preferably in a Primary School setting.
* Understanding of the challenges and needs of students in both KS1 and KS2.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual student requirements.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable.
Schedule & Compensation
* Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30 AM – 15:30 PM
