DVC Sports Centre Duty Officer
Full Time including Evenings & Weekends (37hrs per week, all year round)

The Role
We are looking to recruit a Duty Officer to join the DVC Sports Centre team in providing a customer focused service to all of our learners, employees and members.
You will be responsible for the operational day to day activities of the Sports Centre whilst on duty, including Customer Service, Health & Safety and management of bookings.
As part of the Sports facility's operational management team, you will carry out day-to-day management of the facility, providing leadership and support to all staff and as part of the operational rota provide, where appropriate, cover for planned and unplanned absences of staff as well as class cover where needed.

You will…
hold a minimum of a Level 3 Sports or Leisure related qualification, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and a full First Aid at Work qualification. (First Aid will need to be done whilst in post if not already obtained)
You will have experience of supervisory responsibilities and significant knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a sports and leisure centre environment.
You will need to be able to work flexibly as the role involves working mostly evenings, and weekends on a rota basis, taking responsibility for opening and securing the premises.

DVC Sports Centre is located at Dearne Valley College and provides the local area with a diverse range of cardiovascular and muscle strengthening equipment. There are over 25 fitness classes taking place each week, our staff will support you to achieve your fitness goals and pursue a healthy lifestyle. Whilst on shift you will be responsible for the facilities and staff, ensuring customer satisfaction and being able to respond to, and solve any queries or issues. You will report directly to the Centre Manager.
