Are you a passionate Quality professional looking to take ownership of site standards in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment?
At The Compleat Food Group, we’re looking for a QA Manager to play a key role in maintaining and improving food safety, legality, and quality standards at our Clitheroe site.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, ensuring products consistently meet both customer and regulatory expectations.
The Role
As QA Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving a robust QA/QC framework across site, ensuring audit readiness at all times and maintaining the highest standards of GMP, compliance, and continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with the wider Technical and Operations teams, playing a central role in audits, customer interactions, and quality performance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and coordinate BRC audits (including unannounced), maintaining high audit standards (targeting AA grade)
* Lead internal audits (systems & GMP) and ensure effective corrective action close-out
* Drive continuous improvement across site standards (GMP, fabric, flow, and control)
* Manage non-conformance, concessions, and customer complaints processes
* Coordinate pest control, supplier, and service provider compliance activities
* Ensure the site is always audit-ready
* Support product launches, ensuring compliance from concept through to launch
* Actively contribute to HACCP and food safety systems
* Monitor QA team performance against KPIs and drive improvements
* Build strong cross-functional relationships to embed quality standards across the site
* Coach and support teams at all levels to maintain food safety and quality standards
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and driven QA professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food quality and safety.
You will have:
* Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene and Level 3 HACCP
* Experience in a Technical/QA role within food manufacturing
* Experience leading or supporting QA teams
* Strong knowledge of GMP, audits, and food safety standards
* Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
