Job Title: Hire Controller
Locations: Birmingham
Salary: £27-30,000 + Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure timely and accurate supply of plant and equipment to meet site requirements as per agreed schedules.
* Verify availability of company-owned plant prior to confirming any hires, where applicable.
* Utilise the most cost-effective solution to fulfill equipment orders.
* Take full ownership of any arising issues, ensuring they are resolved effectively and promptly.
* Communicate with site teams regarding delivery schedules and equipment details as needed.
* Where viable, replace externally hired equipment with items from the internal fleet.
* Collaborate with the Plant Manager to assess and agree on any damage or loss charges.
* Stay informed about new plant products and services to support operational needs.
* Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with Company standards and strict adherence to health, safety, and quality protocols.
* Handle and resolve operational queries in a timely and efficient manner.
Ideal Candidate :
* Strong understanding of plant equipment and operations.
* Experience in plant hire processes, including coordinating movement and haulage.
* Background in the construction industry is highly desirable.
