A forward-thinking and oversubscribed 11–18 academy in Leicester is seeking an organised and personable Admissions & Transition Officer to join its central administration team. This is a highly visible role within a school that places strong emphasis on community engagement, clear communication and smooth operational systems. The Role As Admissions & Transition Officer, you will manage the full admissions process from initial enquiry through to induction, ensuring that families receive timely and professional communication at every stage. You will also play a central role in coordinating Year 6 to Year 7 transition arrangements, liaising with feeder primary schools and internal pastoral teams. This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the confidence to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Coordinating in-year and main round admissions processes • Maintaining accurate pupil records on the school’s MIS system • Organising transition days, parent briefings and induction events • Liaising with local authority admissions teams • Producing admissions reports for senior leaders and governors • Managing waiting lists and application documentation • Acting as a first point of contact for prospective families • Supporting marketing initiatives including open evenings The School Context The academy operates from a modern campus with dedicated pastoral and administrative zones.
