Polytec are looking for a Laboratory Operations Technician for our client based in South Cambridgeshire to ensure the smooth running of their laboratories and facilities. This is a role covering a period of sick leave initially but could become permanent.
Responsibilities:
Supply of microbiological media and reagents, ensuring clean glassware and lab waste disposal
Supply of compressed gas and liquid nitrogen, including changing gas cylinders and re-filling cryo storage vessels
Stock ordering, receipt and distribution
Basic laboratory and facilities checks
Ensure Health and Safety Regulations compliance
Requirements:
Background in biological sciences or relevant scientific laboratory experience
Operational support in a biological sciences laboratory
Preparation of sterile laboratory supplies, including microbiological media
Stock management
Laboratory health and safety
