Director (Valuations - Corporate Services)

Role Purpose
This role sits within the Accelerator Group, a division focused on providing valuation advice across key growth areas in commercial real estate. The position is primarily attached to the Corporate Valuation Services team but collaborates with specialists in data centres, life sciences, and compulsory purchase. The Corporate Valuation Services team is the market leader in delivering valuation advice to corporate occupier clients. The role is international in scope, working on assignments across EMEA and globally, with the opportunity to travel for inspections and client meetings. The successful candidate will lead complex valuation and advisory reports, manage and coordinate valuation assignments, and supervise junior colleagues. They will oversee work in the food production and cold storage industry, including complex trading valuations, while remaining flexible across other assignments as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct valuation and advisory work for loan security, accounting, fund reporting, acquisition, investment, and other purposes.
* Perform physical property inspections, including complex properties.
* Manage opportunity records up to execution and provide accurate reporting to senior team members.
* Handle technical aspects of property due diligence and review valuation data.
* Select appropriate comparables, perform analysis, and draw conclusions.
* Perform valuation modelling (including DCF modelling), calculations, and analysis, supporting senior valuers on complex valuations.
* Maintain close liaison with clients to ensure consistently high-quality advice.
* Prepare valuation reports.
* Support senior colleagues with business development, RFPs, and pitch activities.
* Gather and share relevant market intelligence, providing support to senior team members on value‑add tasks.
* Train and mentor junior team members to develop management skills.
* Manage a small group of direct reports.
* Work flexibly across sectors and services within the Division, supporting other Divisions when required.
Person Specification/Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
* MRICS qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years post‑qualification experience.
* Deep knowledge of property valuation methodologies, particularly investment and trading.
* Proficiency in valuation software and tools such as Argus Enterprise & Developer and Excel.
* Ability to report and analyze data to improve operational efficiency and reduce data errors.
* Strong understanding of property market trends and factors influencing values.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in property valuation.
* Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
* Proven ability to collaborate within a team and support senior valuers while working autonomously.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate where appropriate, and meet deadlines; thrives under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
* Valid UK driving licence.
