The Oakdale Group provides a range of specialist assessments, including for autism, ADHD, developmental trauma, and attachment. Oakdale also provides psychological therapies for children, young people, and adults. Many of our services are commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities and schools, and include services for NHS staff. Our services are also accessed by members of the public who pay for them privately, through medical insurance or our charitable arm. Oakdale has clinical centres in Harrogate, Leeds and Halifax and also delivers services from other consulting rooms in the North of England and remotely on a nationwide basis. Oakdales multidisciplinary teams consistently receive excellent feedback from clients and commissioners alike. The role

The role involves conducting hybrid neurodevelopmental assessments (autism and ADHD) for children and Young People, combining face-to-face and remote methods as part of our multi-disciplinary team. Face-to-face assessments take place at our clinic locations in Horsforth, Halifax and Harrogate and some remotely. We are interested in hearing from qualified health professionals who can offer 4 days a week. Oakdale is an agile organisation able to offer flexible hours.

Required

The assessments may include some or all of the following depending upon professional background/ experience. Training will be provided where required in line with service needs alongside supervision:

* Parental/developmental interviews to explore the client's developmental history relating to autism, ADHD and learning. This may include the service structured interviews, the ADI-R, ACE, ACE+ or DIVA/Young DIVA assessments.
* Assessments are undertaken by clinicians based at one of our centres, with the play based assessment and developmental history being completed at the same time for early years assessments. MDT meetings take place within these clinics.
* 1:1 play-based/ activity sessions with the young person/ adult as part of neurodevelopmental assessments
* ADOS-2 Assessments
* QBCheck
* Cognitive assessments, e.g. WISC-V and WAIS-IV (Psychology applicants only)
* School observations
* Liaison with schools and other professionals
* Additional psychometrics
* Multidisciplinary team meetings
* Report writing: full Neurodevelopmental Assessment reports.

About You

* Excellent IT skills- including good knowledge of G Suite
* Experience of using practice Management Systems to record clinical notes and contacts, book and outcome appointments.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with adults/ families and young people in a supportive and empathic way.
* Ability to communicate clearly the outcome of assessments
* Ability to communicate effectively as part of a team
* Experience of autism and/ or ADHD assessments in children and young people.
* Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary assessment team

Qualifications Essential

* HCPC registration and /or Professional qualification in one of the following professions:
o Psychology
o Nursing (RMN / RNLD)
o Speech and Language Therapy
o Social Work
o Occupational Therapy
* ADOS trained
* Experience in undertaking autism and/or ADHD assessments
Desirable

* Conducting DIVA/Young DIVA

Ability to travel

* Driving licence & access to a vehicle.
