The Role
As a Commercial Assistant, you will play a vital support role in our Commercial Department, assisting Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in the financial and administrative management of projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in construction commercial management within a dynamic and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the preparation of tender documents and contract administration
* Supporting cost control and budgeting processes across various projects
* Managing purchase orders, invoices, and payment applications
* Assisting with monthly valuations and reporting
* Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
* Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
* Providing general administrative support to the Commercial team
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a commercial or administrative role within construction (preferred but not essential)
* Strong organisational and numerical skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
