Responsibilities
* Design and develop wiring harnesses, mechanical parts, enclosures, tooling, fixtures, and installations for the race car.
* Produce technical and assembly drawings for mechanical, composite, and electronic components, including associated tooling.
* Support the generation of harness and installation CAD schemes, schematics, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
* Ensure designs meet specifications while minimising weight/volume and complying with FIA regulations.
* Collaborate with design groups to achieve integrated and effective packaging solutions.
* Liaise with production, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to resolve design-related queries.
* Support initial builds to quickly identify and resolve issues.
* Provide proactive input to the continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and design practices.
* Work flexibly across projects, including supporting electronics workshop activities as required.
* Maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge of industry-standard design practices and CAD tools.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Relevant qualification and experience in mechanical design, preferably with electronics focus.
* Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (preferably CATIA 3DX).
* Understanding of electrical systems and electronics.
* Innovative and practical approach to problem-solving with exceptional attention to detail.
* Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to perform under pressure to meet demanding schedules.
* Flexible, collaborative team player with the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
* Strong decision-making skills and commitment to Health & Safety standards.
