About the Role
This is a flexible, part-time position working 12–16 hours per week, spread across 3–4 days (Mon–Thurs). The role is primarily remote, but because our clients are based across the West Midlands, you'll need to live within 1 hour of B90 (Shirley) for the occasional in-person meeting if needed.
You'll be supporting our Lead Consultant with day-to-day client work and helping ensure our clients feel supported, informed, and in safe hands.
Key Responsibilities
HR Support & Advice
Provide practical HR advice to small business clients
Handle first-line HR queries
Identify when issues need escalating to the Lead Consultant
HR Documentation
Draft and update employee handbooks
Produce HR letters (e.g., invite letters, outcomes, confirmations)
Support with policy development and general HR documentation
Case Management & Administration
Including filing, maintaining the CRM, process documentation
Client Relationships
Conduct check-in calls with retained clients
Support onboarding of new clients where needed
Continuous Improvement
Spot opportunities to streamline processes
Suggest ways we can enhance the client experience
Contribute ideas for improving our HR templates and toolkits
What we're looking for

Competent in generalist HR and are confident in applying this to a variety of organisations
Someone who enjoys building strong relationships with small-business clients
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working remotely and managing your own workload
