About The Role & Who We’re Scouting
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Facilities Assistant to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. As Facilities Assistant, you’ll play a key role in the smooth operation of the site by supporting various teams across the site as well as working independently on your own tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintenance & Compliance: Conduct routine checks (including hydrotherapy pool), statutory H&S testing, legionella monitoring, basic repairs, preventative maintenance, stock control, and contractor supervision.
* Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, including routine cleaning and waste management.
* Event Support: Assist with event setup and delivery, liaise with operational teams, support event planning, and transport guests/visitors as needed.
* Site Porterage: Move equipment, parcels, and deliveries across and between sites; support training ground operations.
* Customer Support: Provide friendly, effective assistance to staff and visitors, maintaining excellent customer care.
* General Duties: Support maintenance projects and undertake additional tasks as directed by Operational Management.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in facilities management with specific skills and experience in the following:
Essential Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and forklift licence
* Flexible, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
* Strong commitment to health & safety, compliance, and organisational values
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering work on time
* High standards of customer service and willingness to work flexible hours
* Commitment to continuous professional development
Desirable Experience & Skills
* Maintenance and property services experience across large or multi-site environments
* Event support experience
* Experience operating a compact road sweeper
* Pool Plant Operators Certificate and swimming pool experience
* Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH)
* Experience with BMS, lighting control, and CAFM systems
