Main Purpose of the role

Are you a detail-oriented and organized professional with a passion for logistics? We’re looking for a Transport Administrator to support the efficient operation of our transport department. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy problem-solving, this role is for you!

What will you be doing?

  • Perform administrative and clerical duties to support daily transport operations.
  • Act as a key liaison between Import Operations and the CODI planning team, ensuring effective communication and coordination of delivery requirements.
  • Contact customers to arrange and confirm delivery bookings, balancing customer requirements with operational capacity and fleet availability.
  • Ensure delivery appointments are scheduled with CODI fleet planning and route optimisation in mind to maximise vehicle utilisation and service efficiency.
  • Process, prepare, and verify all relevant transport and delivery documentation.
  • Manage discrepancies, exceptions, and overages, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Monitor delivery performance and proactively manage delays to minimise customer service disruption.
  • Work closely with customers, drivers, warehouse teams, and operational departments to ensure the continuous flow of freight.
  • Identify and resolve transport-related issues, escalating where appropriate to maintain service levels.
  • About You

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in transport administration or logistics (preferred).
  • The ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in transport management systems (advantageous).
