It's an exciting time in our Pricing and Analytics department here at AXA UK. Our transformation programme has recently been relaunched, aligned to AXA Retail's new Pricing and Analytics strategy. We're investing in growing our department in size and capability, across our IT systems, analytical toolset and learning and development. We’re looking for a talented Machine Learning (ML) Engineer or Senior ML Engineer to build and maintain packages which provide frameworks and mechanics for the rest of Pricing and Analytics. The role will involve tooling to increase the velocity of and value delivered from the analytical lifecycle.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:
* Enable P&A department to deliver value in a way that is seamless, efficient and controlled, through standardised modelling, analysis, and deployment workflows.
* Develop Python modelling tools, metrics to assess the value of new models and monitor the value of existing data science models and machine learning services.
* Raise standards of software engineering approaches and ML processes across the department.

What you’ll bring:
* Expertise leveraging software engineering approaches for statistical analysis and modelling problems with Python, Git.
* Attitude of continuous improvement.
* Effective collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues.
* Experience applying the above in fast paced, business context.
* Personal lines insurer or other regulated entity experience a bonus.
