Overview
Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a leading manufacturer of Automation and Pneumatic Components. The successful candidate will work fully remote, responsible for new business development and key account management, selling pneumatic / automation / linear motion products and systems, primarily covering the South of the UK. This role will transition into Sales Leader / Sales Manager role.
Responsibilities
* Selling pneumatic / automation / linear motion products and systems, primarily covering the South of the UK. This role will transition into Sales Leader / Sales Manager role.
* Be responsible for the management of 3 to 4 external sales engineers.
* Manage and grow existing relationships as well as new business development selling engineered pneumatic / automation / linear motion products into various industries.
* Identify and develop new linear motion sales opportunities through demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation.
* Liaise with various engineering departments.
* Fully remote role covering primarily the South of the UK.
Requirements
* Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Representative or similar having sold a technical mechanical engineering product.
* Experience selling linear motion, actuators, pneumatics, conveyors, valves, motors, power transmission, gearboxes, MRO, rotating equipment or similar would be preferred.
* Experience of directly managing sales teams would be highly desirable.
* A technical qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree) is advantageous though not a necessity.
* Full clean driving licence. Willingness to travel, primarily across the South of the UK.
