Salary: GBP38000 - GBP45000 per annum + Training + Progression
Are you an experienced HSE or Compliance professional looking for an autonomous role within a well-established engineering business where you can take full ownership of quality, compliance, and health & safety processes across multiple sites?
Are you looking for a varied position where you will work closely with engineers, service teams, contractors and senior leadership to maintain accreditations, improve operational standards, and drive continuous improvement across the business?
This growing machinery solutions business specialises in engineering support, servicing and aftersales solutions across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Business SHEQ & Compliance Officer to support compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence across their Mildenhall and Long Bennington facilities.
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all SHEQ and compliance-related matters, ensuring the business operates in line with all legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements. You will lead ISO accreditation processes, manage audits and risk assessments, maintain contractor compliance, and support onboarding, training and internal process improvements.
This role would suit someone with strong SHEQ, quality or compliance experience within an engineering, machinery, service or technical environment, looking for a long-term role with real ownership and progression.
The Role:
* Lead and maintain ISO 9001 accreditation with future scope for ISO 14001
* Manage CHAS accreditation and support CHED accreditation processes
* Conduct SSOW reviews and risk assessments across the business
* Own GANT chart monitoring for all health and safety tasks
* Manage contractor inductions, permits to work and compliance checks
* Maintain personnel records, licence checks and training compliance
The Person:
* Previous experience within SHEQ, Compliance, Quality or Health & Safety
* Experience within engineering, machinery, service or technical environments
