Our client a globally leading Sustainability Advisor to join our client on an exciting project. This is an initial three to four year fixed term contract based in Torness, East Lothian
Role Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the daily execution and refinement of sustainability initiatives on a major construction site.
* Demonstrate understanding of Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and Whole Life Carbon accounting.
* Assist in the creation and ongoing review of the Carbon Management Plan.
* Track and report emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3 categories.
* Deliver toolbox talks and briefings focused on sustainability and carbon reduction.
* Help measure and analyse sustainability indicators such as carbon output, waste levels, and energy usage.
* Work with the Sustainability Manager to compile stakeholder reports.
* Collect and organise data to support sustainability-related decision-making.
* Engage with contractors and subcontractors to encourage participation in environmental programmes.
* Aid in the design and facilitation of sustainability training for site staff.
* Keep informed of new developments, technologies, and best practices in sustainable construction.
* Conduct weekly site audits to assess sustainability compliance.
* Assist in achieving project-specific sustainability KPIs.
Requirements:
* Engineering related or environmental discipline degree.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
* Proactive attitude.
* A valid driving license and access to personal transport are required for site travel.
