Technical Author – Inorganic Chemicals – UK BAT
Do you want to make a lasting positive change to the environment? As a Technical Author in the UK BAT team you can play a key role in drafting Best Available Techniques (BAT) conclusions, working with technical working groups and publishing new UK-wide environmental standards for industry.
Responsibilities
* Draft BAT conclusions and prepare technical documents suitable for publication as UK-wide environmental standards.
* Liaise with Technical Working Groups and present final documents to stakeholders.
* Analyse technical arguments and data, and communicate findings clearly in written and oral form.
* Manage project timelines, prioritise tasks and ensure timely delivery of high quality outputs.
Qualifications and Experience
* At least 5 years’ working experience in the large volume inorganic chemicals (LVIC) industry.
* Solid understanding of environmental regulation, UK and EU industrial environmental legislation (IED, Environmental Permitting Regulations, etc.).
* Strong analytical skills and ability to critically analyse technical data.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
* Proven project management experience and drive to complete tasks on schedule.
