Job Description:
A leading financial institution is seeking a Collateral Operations Analyst to join their Prime Services division, providing maternity cover for a minimum of 6 months. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in financial markets to work in a client-facing operations environment within a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurate distribution of client margin statements
2. Investigating and resolving margin deficits and related queries
3. Daily interaction with hedge fund clients and internal stakeholders
4. Reconciliation of collateral balances and resolution of breaks
5. Supporting the wider team with operational and regulatory requirements
What We’re Looking For:
1. A finance graduate or individual with relevant experience seeking their next step in operations
2. Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients directly
3. Basic understanding of trading products (e.g., equities, derivatives)
4. Knowledge of hedge funds and an awareness of different strategies they may use
5. Good understanding of the regulatory landscape within financial markets
6. Organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
