Main Accountabilities:
1. Site planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with the Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreements between customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
2. Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline, from receiving the site area from the customer or Project Manager to handover, ensuring successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder relations: Acts as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations.
4. Health, safety, environment (HSE), and project security: Ensures a detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety awareness among on-site resources, has the authority to suspend activities in case of HSE violations, and takes necessary steps to mitigate risks.
5. Equipment and logistics: Ensures correct handling, storage, and installation of delivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage and shipment logistics to ensure timely delivery.
6. Sub-contractors management: Manages subcontractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet delivery standards and schedules.
7. Site cost management: Monitors project costs, compares actual spend against forecasts, and estimates final costs. Manages petty cash and has delegated authority for local purchasing within limits.
8. Documentation: Maintains and updates all project documentation, ensuring the latest revisions are used on-site.
9. People leadership and development: Ensures the area is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed. Guides, motivates, and develops team members, and coordinates local facilities and resources.
Summary: Supervises a team in executing tasks within an assigned area, coordinating work assignments, and conducting performance reviews for team members.
We seek candidates with several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with strong knowledge in Site Management, Health & Safety (OHS), Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic understanding of Commissioning and Civil Works.
