Health & Safety Advisor / SHEQ Advisor - Manufacturing - Grimsby, Lincolnshire
Your newpanyHays are working with a leading national organisation in the Lincolnshire area to find an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support them in developing and managing improvements and lead improvements to their site.
The successful candidate will be extensively experienced in a manufacturing setting and be a strong personality who has the ability tomunicate their achievements upholding the highest levels of Health & Safety.
Your new roleAs SHEQ Advisor, you’ll be instrumental in helping shape the future direction of the department and embedding best practice across all sites and teams. You’ll act as the central point of expertise for SHEQ matters, ensuringpliance with legislation and industry standards while driving continuous improvement.
Key aspects of the role include:
1. Supporting the SHEQ team, providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff members on site.
2. Maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 systems in collaboration with other departments.
3. Delivering training sessions and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
4. Overseeing incident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up on corrective actions.
5. Developing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
6. Keeping SHEQ documentation current and accurate.
7. Managing onboarding processes for new starters and contractors.
8. Preparing monthly performance reports andpliance rmendations for senior leadership.
9. Conducting site audits and inspections, and monitoring team-led audits.
10. Coordinating repairs of unsafe or damaged equipment.
11. Staying up to date with regulatory changes and ensuring their implementation.
12. Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the business.
What you'll need to succeedTo thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
13. A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or a NEBOSH certificate / diploma (or equivalent).
14. Proven SHEQ management experience within a manufacturing environment.
15. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SHEQ management systems.
17. Excellent organisational,munication, and interpersonal abilities.
18. A collaborative approach to working across departments and with external stakeholders.
19. A full UK driving licence.
