Job Purpose:
To work cooperatively with the North West Partners (Maryhill and Queens Cross Housing Associations) and their associated contracted organisations. The role involves managing all aspects of planning, implementation, and delivery of development projects for the new build housing programme and some development management on Maryhill housing projects. Responsibilities include project initiation, viability assessment, funding bids, procurement, performance management, cost, quality, and risk monitoring, from inception to completion. The aim is to ensure efficient management of development programmes aligned with business and customer needs, with a focus on innovation and sustainability. The role also involves coordinating funding discussions with partner organisations and funding bodies, and managing governance, including attending board and committee meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategy Development
o Ensure delivery of development programmes in line with strategic aims and objectives
o Assist with strategy implementation and review
o Collaborate with teams, advisors, and customers to deliver value and manage risks
• Programme and Project Management
o Site identification, investigation, viability assessment, and acquisition
o Prepare feasibility and design briefs
o Procure consultants and contractors following statutory and best practice requirements
o Manage costs, quality, and risks effectively
o Maximise external funding and prepare funding bids
o Oversee project and contract administration and act as client representative
o Develop and implement service and project plans, monitor performance
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting
o Set and monitor KPIs and targets
o Manage performance of consultants and contractors
o Provide regular reports on programme performance and expenditure
o Ensure audit and control systems are in place
o Monitor and control project expenditure and support financial planning
o Collaborate within the North West Partners to deliver joint programmes
o Report to Development Boards and develop external partnerships
• Customer Engagement & Participation
o Work with community teams and tenant organisations on development projects
o Ensure effective consultation and engagement with customers
o Provide progress reports and attend meetings
• Effective Liaison and Team Working
o Work as part of the North West Partners team
o Collaborate with internal and external partners, including local authorities and government bodies

o Ensure community benefits are incorporated into procurement processes
o Provide performance data for community benefits monitoring
o Uphold organisational values and ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements
o Communicate effectively and maximize ICT use for efficiency
o Produce accurate performance data and support audits
