For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy. With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. About the Role As a Customer Development Manager at Carlsberg Britvic, you'll be the key point of contact for customers, leading negotiations and crafting strategic account plans to drive growth. You'll join our integrated beverage powerhouse that uniquely combines beer and soft drinks portfolios, supported by a world-class sales force. Working within our Off-Trade function, you'll contribute directly to our commercial objectives while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure consistent execution of plans that enable sustainable growth. Role Responsibilities • Develop customer-specific strategic plans aligned with channel goals, collaborating with Marketing and Planning & Execution teams before the financial year begins • Create and implement tactical plans to deliver Carlsberg Britvic's share, revenue, and trading contribution targets • Lead price increase planning, including customer pre-conditioning, execution strategy, and effective objection handling • Take full accountability for the P&L of accounts within your responsibility area, building investment plans that drive Annual Operating Plan objectives • Establish and lead a robust customer contact strategy to identify and unlock new business opportunities • Monitor account performance, adjust tactics as needed, and drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve targets • Spend time in outlets gathering insights, assessing execution quality, and supporting team development • Manage allocated budgets and trade investments to maximize return on investment while following agreed guidelines Experience and Key Attributes • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to develop compelling business propositions and implement effective account plans • Excellent P&L management skills with experience in volume and profit forecasting processes • Superior negotiation and selling skills with the ability to influence at all levels • Outstanding communication abilities that enable development of effective internal and external partnerships • Experience in category development or customer development, preferably with budgetary management expertise • Self-confident approach with the courage to contribute opinions and debate constructively across various stakeholder forums • Degree or equivalent qualification Our commitment to diversity equity & inclusion We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences - including those of different races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, religions, and socioeconomic statuses.
