AXIS ENGINEERING- CNC MACHINIST 3RD SHIFT
RESPONSIBLITIES:
* Uphold the company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in all daily tasks.
* Operate machine shop equipment with a high level of proficiency.
* Set up, run, and troubleshoot CNC machines effectively.
* Perform 2D programming directly at the machine controls.
* Utilize measurement tools and inspection equipment, including gauges, calipers, and micrometers, for accurate inspections.
* Read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.
* Conduct routine preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness of machines and workstations.
* Compare measured parts to blueprint specifications and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
* Make sound decisions regarding machine repair and maintenance needs.
* Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
* Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve common goals.
* Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
* Plan and prioritize work efficiently to ensure timely, safe, and effective job completion.
* Exhibit self-motivation and a continuous improvement mindset in all tasks and responsibilities.
* Maintain a strong attendance and safety record.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
* Firsthand experience operating CNC machinery.
* Experience in CNC/CAM programming.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
This is a 3rd shift position and shift times may vary depending on production needs.
