Salary: Competitive based on skills and experience

Contract Type: Permanent – 35 hours a week

Location: Hybrid working (office based in Birmingham) – minimum commitment of an average of 40% of time in the office per month

A new role at a new chapter in Wesleyan’s history and growth, we are rolling out our new Wealth Platform offering and this role is accountable for the oversight of Wesleyan Financial Investments Limited (WFIL), ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, and the consistent delivery of positive customer outcomes. Leading the WFIL Oversight Team, it provides independent assurance and constructive challenge across operational performance delivered by both internal teams and outsourced partners. The role is central to maintaining effective risk, control, and governance frameworks, while driving a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.

Sitting at the heart of WFIL’s operational governance, the role ensures the WesInvest platform delivers high-quality performance aligned with regulatory standards and customer expectations. It manages key third-party relationships, holds suppliers to account, and acts as a central escalation point across internal and external stakeholders. In addition, it is responsible for regulatory reporting, senior committee engagement, and shaping the customer oversight strategy in partnership with senior leadership to ensure aligned, efficient, and customer-focused delivery.

Your Impact

Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

· Lead governance and oversight of WFIL, including preparation of board/committee papers, reporting on performance, risks, breaches, complaints, and Consumer Duty outcomes

· Chair the WFIL Oversight & Governance Committee, ensuring effective governance and regulatory compliance

· Oversee day-to-day operational performance of the WesInvest platform, ensuring delivery against KPIs, SLAs, regulatory standards, and customer outcomes

· Manage key third-party relationships (Hubwise/SS&C), including performance monitoring, escalations, and driving service improvements

· Assess, manage, and resolve breaches, incidents, and complaints, ensuring fair customer outcomes and identifying continuous improvement opportunities

· Design and maintain robust operational risk and control frameworks, ensuring effective regulatory monitoring and mitigation of risks

· Lead and implement regulatory and customer-driven change, including product launches, enhancements, and operational improvements

· Provide oversight and assurance of customer and adviser communications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance

· Act as subject matter expert on platform oversight, regulatory requirements, and outsourced customer journeys

· Drive continuous improvement to enhance customer and adviser experience while ensuring value for money and effective cost oversight

What You’ll Bring

· Proven experience in overseeing third-party transfer agency administration

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to all levels, including senior leadership

· Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team

· Confident and assertive, able to contribute and constructively challenge in discussions

· Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships internally and externally

· Effective decision-making, planning, and prioritisation skills in fast-paced environments

· Highly organised and proactive, with a proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities

· Experience with quality assurance methodologies, including root cause analysis and process improvement

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities

· Good understanding of financial services products, particularly investments and pensions

· Experience within financial services or investment platform operations, with knowledge of FCA Consumer Duty and regulatory frameworks

· Strong knowledge of relevant products and regulations (e.g. CASS, UCITS, ISA, GIA, JISA, offshore bonds, SIPPs) and customer journeys

· Professional certification in Regulated Financial Services Operations (or willingness to obtain)
