Depot Manager Join Flooring Superstore and Enjoy a 4-Day Work Week

Flooring Superstore is currently recruiting for a Depot Manager to lead our team in a dynamic delivery environment. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of Delivery Drivers ranging from vans to 18T vehicles from our Avonmouth depot distribution delivery network, and ensure operational efficiency while maintaining health, safety, and legal compliance.

How You Will Contribute:
* Effectively manage a dedicated Driver team, fostering high colleague retention and low vacancy rates.
* Lead, coach, and develop team members for long-term succession, while instilling our Company Values.
* Regularly communicate depot performance updates to the Regional Manager.
* Ensure legal compliance and safety within the depot, completing required actions and audits.
* Manage temporary staffing agency suppliers and operational efficiency to meet agreed targets.
* Meet and report on relevant KPIs, attending operational reviews when necessary.
* Utilize best practices and innovation to enhance transport efficiency.
* Build effective relationships with colleagues and departments within the company.
What You Will Bring:
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong PC literacy with a focus on accuracy; knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel/Google Sheets) is advantageous.
* Proven experience managing a site operational team, preferably within a home delivery retail network.
* Flexibility in approach, as our depots operate 24/7.
* A strong team player who can also work independently.
* Strategic and innovative mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Willing to take on warehouse duties and occasionally take the opportunity to take a route out if required.

* Bristol BS11 9QD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

* Depot Management: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Transport Manager CPC (preferred)

* Category B Driving Licence (required)
Work Location: In person
