Electrical Technician – Digital Modification Project\n\nLocation: Manchester International Depot\n\nPayrate: £30ph (LTD)\n\nContract: 3-Month Contract\n\nShift: Days (Monday to Friday – 50 hours/week)\n\nStart Date: Between 26th May and 2nd June\n\nJoin a leading digital upgrade programme with one of the UK’s premier train operating companies in the North of England.\n\nGanymede Solutions is partnering with a major player in the UK rail sector to recruit an Electrical Technician for a high-profile digital modifications project at Manchester International Depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a multi-million-pound fleet digitalisation programme, working on the latest in passenger-facing and onboard technologies.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs an Electrical Technician, you’ll be responsible for:\n\n· Installing and testing digital equipment as part of a fleet-wide upgrade\n\n· Working on systems such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet backbones, CCTV/NVR, USB sockets, passenger information systems, and driver’s cab upgrades\n\n· Ensuring all work meets technical and safety standards within project timeframes\n\n· Work together with a skilled team to deliver consistent quality\n\nRequirements\n\n· City & Guild or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)\n\n· Minimum 3 years’ experience working on rolling stock\n\n· Strong team communication and attention to detail\n\n· Available to start between 26th May and 2nd June\n\n· Able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening and full railway medical\n\n· Must provide Right to Work documentation before start date\n\n· A proactive, can-do attitude is essential\n\nAbout the Company\n\nYou’ll be joining a trusted and forward-thinking organisation in the rail industry with a proven track record of delivering innovation across its fleet.
