We're working with supportive primary and specialist schools across Sunderland that are seeking Learning Support Assistants to join their teams for the upcoming academic year. The schools pride themselves on creating positive and inclusive environments where pupils with additional needs are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who can provide meaningful support and help pupils achieve their individual goals. What you'll be doing • Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups • Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging learning activities • Adapting support strategies to meet individual pupil needs • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning • Encouraging social interaction and emotional wellbeing • Building strong relationships with pupils, families and staff What we're looking for • Experience working with children or young people • An understanding of SEND and inclusive education practices • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • A flexible and adaptable approach • Willingness to travel across Sunderland and surrounding areas • Driving is beneficial but not essential • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What you can expect from Protocol • Weekly PAYE pay • Ongoing support from a consultant who genuinely cares • Free CPD and online training opportunities All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
