The Role
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, professionally managed sport and physical activity facilities, including an excellent front-of-house service. It involves coordinating and developing sports programmes to increase participation, improve performance, and enhance the student experience at York St John. The position also oversees responsibilities related to hosting and competing in BUCS, community, and national leagues, while maximising opportunities for students, staff, and the wider community to engage in sport and physical activity.
Required skills and experience
We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate flexibility, and be able to adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment. They will show strong initiative, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a supportive and dynamic team.

Monday 13.00-19.00
Tuesday 12.00-19.00
Wednesday 09.30-17.30
Thursday 08.00-18.00
Friday 11.00-17.00
