Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrates leadership and commitment to HSEQ. Actively encourages and leads our clients and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements
2. Ensures that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that, in consultation with site supervisor and HSE team, HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
3. Ensures that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSE requirements and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS
4. Is responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under their control, and for stopping work where this might be compromised
5. Works with customer and site supervisor in producing work schedules and plans, then implements service delivery performing necessary testing in accordance with written appropriate test procedures
6. Implements standardised methods in order to identify complex problems
7. Performs successfully all responsibilities of the Code Welder position, maintaining a minimum of 3 weld certifications.
8. Reads and interprets blueprints with detailed drawings and dimension styles
9. Welds prep and fit-up of steel parts.
10. Welds according to all appropriate codes and procedures.
11. Uses basic math skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions as needed
12. Understands and promotes the ISO / culture ensuring that every function and operation happens with high quality.
13. Implements standardised methods in order to identify complex problems
14. Supports pro-actively the service team to achieve objectives
Requirements:
15. City & Guilds Level 3 Engineering
16. Experienced as chargehand in delivering Boiler Pressure Parts services to a large industrial plant
17. Experienced in the co-ordination of contractors on site
18. Experienced as a leader of HSEQ and has knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
19. Knowledge of relevant international and national technical standards
20. Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS), valid Safety Contractors Certificate or equivalent
21. Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
