Job Title: Senior Architectural Technologist
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £35,000 – £44,000 DOE

Known for its dynamic portfolio across education, science, residential, and civic sectors, the practice combines sustainable thinking with technical precision to shape places that truly serve people and communities. As the studio continues to grow and strengthen its technical leadership, they are now looking to welcome a Senior Architectural Technologist to play a key role in the delivery of ambitious, multi-sector projects from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior Architectural Technologist role:
• Lead the development and coordination of detailed Revit models and comprehensive technical drawing packages.
• Produce and manage high-quality tender and construction documentation in line with current UK regulations.
• Coordinate effectively with design teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure technical integrity and buildability.
• Oversee the delivery of large-scale education, science, and commercial projects, contributing both strategically and operationally.
• Promote sustainable design approaches in line with Net Zero goals and best environmental practice.
• Support the growth of the technical team through mentoring, internal reviews, and contribution to BIM and quality standards.
Key Requirements for this Senior Architectural Technologist role:
• Degree or recognised qualification in Architectural Technology (CIAT chartership preferred).
• At least 5 years of UK-based experience in a senior technical role within an architectural or multidisciplinary setting.
• Strong track record delivering complex or large-scale projects, ideally in the education, science, or public sectors.
• Advanced Revit proficiency with an in-depth understanding of BIM Level 2+ workflows.
• Excellent technical acumen with a flair for detailing, coordination, and problem-solving.
• Strong communicator with the ability to lead teams and build positive relationships with clients and consultants.
• Quality-driven and proactive, with a passion for delivering technically sound, sustainable architecture.
