Community Health & Social Care Partnership – Team Lead (Health Visiting and School Nursing) – Uist and Barra
Band 7 £52,845 - £61,466 per annum
Plus Distant Island Allowance £1,461 per annum

This exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health Visiting and School Nursing Team in Uist and Barra. You will be responsible for the day to day management and co-ordination of NHS Health Visiting team and School Nursing team in Uist and Barra. The post holder will provide leadership to the team with responsibility for service developments based on agreed policies and procedures, ensuring a high quality service working within the NMC Code and clinical Governance Frameworks. The post includes carrying a small caseload and training of students and liaising with Higher Education establishments.

Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day management and coordination of the NHS Health Visiting team and School Nursing team in Uist and Barra.
* Provide leadership with responsibility for service developments based on agreed policies and procedures, ensuring high quality service within the NMC Code and Clinical Governance Frameworks.
* Carry a small caseload.
* Train students and liaise with Higher Education establishments.
Qualifications and Experience
* First level registered nurses with Health Visiting/Public Health degree qualification.
* Several years post-registration experience with a diverse caseload and leadership/management experience.
* Driving licence is essential for this post.
* Must be willing to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.
