Role: Electrical Engineering Supervisor
Location: HARIBO Castleford
Working hours: 41 hours per week (Sunday – Thursday; 22:00 – 06:00)

We are on the hunt for an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to come and join our nights Engineering team based out of our Castleford site.
Within this role you will report into our Head of Engineering and work as part of our fantastic wider Engineering team. To enable HARIBO sugary success, within this role you will be responsible for managing the department to ensure colleagues are motivated to deliver in their role leading to safe, efficiency and high standards of Engineering support.
You will also be responsible for all electrical decisions whilst on shift to ensure the delivery of the engineering schedule. You will also be responsible for maintaining the health and safety, quality and food safety standards within an environment of continuous improvement and engagement for colleagues.
To thrive within this role, it is important that key relationships are developed with a variety of departments including Production, Packing, HSE, Technical Services and the People Team.

1. Monitoring the standard of Electrical work carried out across the business including; organising and supervising jobs
2. Allocating and controlling resources (nominals)
3. Ordering and maintaining stock levels of spare parts
4. Understanding department goals / targets
5. Problem solving including resolving and reporting any breakdowns as well as making critical decisions
6. Continuously looking to identify & implement ways to improve the performance of the department e.g. improving machine efficiency
7. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with any Permit to Works, Job recording, fire alarm
Ingredients that you bring with you:
8. Previous experience in Food Manufacturing is essential
9. A recognised Electrical apprenticeship
10. Awareness / Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards
11. Excellent level of communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate well at all levels
12. Ability to work individually, and as part of a team, is essential
13. Experience of supervising a team is essential
14. Have knowledge and experience in delivering detailed reports, combined with the ability to present the relevant information to all interested stakeholders
15. Commitment to continuous improvement
