Overview
A great opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established Electrical and Mechanical solutions provider. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served tradesperson (ideally an ex-pipefitter welder) looking to transition into or further develop their career in estimating.
Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and competitive bids for mechanical projects.
* Price works related to:
o Plant rooms / energy centres / boiler houses
o Pump installations
* Review technical drawings and specifications to produce detailed cost estimates.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations.
* Ensure bids are submitted on time and meet client requirements.
* Travel to sites across the UK as required (typically returning the same day).
Qualifications / Beneficial Skills
* Previous experience in mechanical estimating or a strong background in mechanical trades.
* Time-served in the mechanical trade, ideally as a pipefitter welder.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installations.
* CSCS card holder.
* Full UK driving licence - national travel
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
