Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Shift Leader to oversee our food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in managing teams and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and contributing to the overall success of our dining experience.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the daily operations of the food and beverage team, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
* Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
* Train, develop, and mentor team members in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
* Utilize POS systems such as Zonal for order processing and cash handling.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment while promoting teamwork among staff.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a hotel food & beverage operation is desirable, perfect for a seasoned F&B Assistant, looking for that next step
* Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including kitchen management and culinary practices.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
* Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices.
* Experience in training & development of staff members to enhance performance.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Knowledge of food production, catering, bar operations, and banquet services is advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
